Buying a house, a flat or another type of property is a milestone in our live. It is a high investment and normally we don't do it very often. The risk of such an investment should be zero or even minimized. Building experts are asked to give us a judgement and a recommendation whether to buy or not to buy. An energy pass is part of the documents describing the house. From our viewpoint such properties should also be checked for dangerous chemicals like wood protectors, plastisizers, PAHs (polyaromatic hydrocarbons) and heavy metals. Potential emission sources are old wood, seals, glues, colors and paints.
If you buy a house with a garden, the earth should also be checked if there isn't any information about its origin and history.
